It’s Memorial Day! What’s your mani look like today? Today I have a review on this new glitter top coat from Sinful Colors. This polish is on a new display with red, blue and white polishes. This is the only new release in the display so I picked it right up!
Sinful Colors has impressed me with their top coats. I absolutely fell in love with the heart topper from Valentine’s Day and the flower topper from St. Patrick’s Day! This brand is amazing and such a steal for just $1.99 each! Let’s see how this new star glitter performs.
I also have another one along the same lines as this at a much higher price point, Formula X Glory. Stick around to see which one I prefer!
Star Blast Off is full of matte red, white and blue glitter. There are large white stars in a slurry of red and blue hex glitter and a generous sprinkle of micro white glitter all in a clear base. Doesn’t that sound delightful? I’m sure you can already tell how I feel about this polish. I love it! The clear base is slightly tinted red, no surprise as there is so much red glitter in this. It doesn’t bother me much and it’s barely visible, even over white. It has great glitter payoff in just one coat, just take a look at the swatches below.
I chose to layer it over Essie Pret-A-Surfer from the new Summer 2015 Peach Side Babe line. I think this combination is perfection!

I love this! Can you believe it was just $1.99? Man, I’m kicking myself for not getting a second one! After the experience with those two amazing glitter top coats from Sinful Colors, you would think that I know by now to grab two! This is available anywhere Sinful Colors is sold (Walgreens, Rite Aid, Walmart, Kmart…). I have the best luck finding new Sinful Colors display and polishes at my local Walgreens.
If you’re looking for a metallic red/white/blue star glitter, take a look at Formula X Glory for my review. Spoiler: I like this one better, but decide for yourself and let me know!
If star glitter isn’t your thing and you want a matte red/white/blue glitter, try Hard Candy’s Soda Pop. I used it last year for my July 4th mani, take a look here!
Have a great holiday!
