Sally Hansen Bridal Collection 2015

Spring has sprung in full force and summer is on its way. Just because the weather is heating up, doesn’t mean we are going to abandon our soft shades and pastels. Here’s another bridal collection from Sally Hansen. So far, I have reviewed the Essie Bridal Collection and the Soft Shades from OPI, a collection of very bridal appropriate shades put out annually by OPI.

Now, if you’re looking for some loud summer colors, try the fabulous new China Glaze Electric Nights Collection. For those of you that love soft and pretty looks, this collection is for you. Sally Hansen is killing it with these new collections popping up everywhere. The display for these polishes didn’t look very interesting. I skipped on many of them and settled on three. Keep reading to see pictures of them.

Although every brand is putting out a baby blue this time of year, I still decided to pick this one up. I Do Blue is a sky blue creme with an okay formula. These nothing wrong with it at all, but with all these blues coming out, I would skip on this one. There are other choices out there with impeccable formulas.

The color is very similar to L’Oreal Wispy Clouds from the recent Haute Florals Collection for Spring. Here’s a bottle comparison. There may be a bunch of baby blues out there, but I don’t have anything in my collection that’s similar than Wispy Clouds. China Glaze UV Meant to Be from the Electric Nights Collection is darker and Meet Me at the Rink from Color Club’s Poptastic Pastel Neon Collection is lighter.

Bridal Bling is a smoky olive silver with golden shimmer. It’s on the sheerer side on its own, it needs three coats to opacity. I like this better as a topper for other polishes. I used it over I Do Blue and I like it better that way. I love that Sally Hansen added this into their bridal collection. I would normally never expect this and it’s refreshing to find something different from all the soft sheer polishes I’ve been trying lately.

This next one I don’t know how I really feel about it. This was the first one I picked up when I saw the display. It instantly caught my eye. How can I describe what this pearly white looks like in the bottle? Imagine a gorgeous wedding gown, elaborate, elegant and eye-catching. Aisle Be Yours looks exactly like that… in the bottle.

Here’s what I don’t like. It’s textured. It’s not chunky, so a couple of thick layers of top coat should smooth things over. The texture reminds me of Sally Hansen’s now discontinued Sugar Coat shimmer polishes. Originally I thought it had a pearly base but after using it, I can see it’s a clear base packed with tiny textured white bits, pearly white shimmer and some scattered flecks. It’s still beautiful, it’s just not what I was expecting and I’m not really into textured finishes. So for me, this was a miss.

Here is a coat over I Do Blue. I like it better than when it was on its own. Still a miss for me though. There are other ways to get the Cinderella look.

Although two of the three were misses from me, I still enjoyed my picks. I would pass on I Do Blue simply because I have way to many blues like this and there are others out there I like better. Aisle Be Yours was a miss. I was disappointed to see this gorgeous bridal gown looking polish didn’t translate to the nail the way I expected it to from looking at the bottle. I will still try to find other ways to wear this. I don’t completely regret my purchase, it just needs a little more elbow grease than normally.

I feel that Sally Hansen is trying to step up their game recently. I’ve been seeing so many new releases from them. This display caught my attention and I naturally picked these up and left the pinks. If you have tried anything from this collection, feel free to let me know how it worked out for you. I’m always eyeing up everything new at the drugstore!

I’ve seen these everywhere, CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid. This is part of Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure line so the price isn’t as low as some of their other lines. Each polish is $7-8 at most drugstores. So it’s best to hop on those drugstore BOGO sales and get a deal!

Also be sure to check out the other bridal collections I’ve reviewed here!
