This year for Halloween, OPI released a 4-piece collection inspired by the Peanuts! Whoo! A healthy dose of Snoopy and Charlie Brown just in time for Halloween. I was excited from the news of this, but of the four I only picked one. There were two creams and two glitters. And of course…
I chose the glitter. (:
As stated before, this was a 4-piece collection, made up of two cremes and two glitters. I wasn’t interested in the yellow and black cremes and the colorful glitter, To Be or Not to Beagle, didn’t dazzle me. I ended up buying just one, this pretty orange, yellow and black glitter named Where’s My Blanket.
At first I was going to skip out on this whole collection, but I thought I just had to pick one! It’s the Peanuts! I used to love watching the show when I got the chance. Ah, “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” is such a classic Halloween film.
Where’s My Blanket has pastel orange and yellow glitters sparingly sprinkled with multisized black glitter, all in a clear base. The orange and yellow really scream Halloween. Of all the colors, I believe this one is the most festive. It has great opacity, in each of the manicures shown below, there is just one coat of Where’s My Blanket. Take a look.
Where’s My Blanket- 1 coat over I Just Can’t Cope-Acabana
Where’s My Blanket- 1 coat over Where Did Suzi’s Man-Go?
Where’s My Blanket- 1 coat sandwiched between Funny Bunny
Darker colors would have hidden the black glitter, so I layered it on lighter colors to showcase them. By the way, that’s just one coat of Where’s My Blanket in each picture. What great coverage!
I love how this turned out in a jelly sandwich with OPI Funny Bunny. If you have trouble finding Funny Bunny, Essie’s Marshmallow is a dupe. The combination of these two remind me of candy corn, in a more subtle way than sponging on a gradient of white, yellow and orange. I love how delicate it looks. If you’re not into too much color, but want to dabble the Halloween spirit, I’d say to go with these!
I’m glad I decided to pick a polish up from this collection and I’m very happy with ending up with this one. I love it way more than I thought I would. For me, I would use this glitter more for jelly sandwiches. It will probably look great sandwiched in a jelly orange too! Or even a jelly black for a smoky look!
If you’re looking for an easy Halloween manicure, get this glitter.
