Soft powder pinks are gorgeous on the nails. When I’m looking for a palette cleanser, I always go into my “nudes” drawer. Here I keep my beigey nudes and soft pinks. Today, I have a new addition. Well it belongs to this category, but because I’ve fallen head over heels for this one, it’s not going to live in that drawer. It will have a home along with my other prized possessions, upon my desk. I mean, the price tag demands this type of treatment anyway!
Nails Inc x Victoria Beckham’s new Bamboo White is what I’ve donned on my nails now, in preparation of the new year (Chinese New Year). I’ve posted my Chinese New Year mani here if you would like to check it out! Although it creates a simple look, it’s extremely eye-catching. I have never seen anything like it and as I am typing this now, I can’t help but stare at this beautiful color. I keep getting caught by that amazing shine!

This exclusive Victoria, Victoria Beckham (VVB) and Nails Inc lacquer is named Bamboo White. This release features two polishes, Bamboo White and Judo Red. I chose to opt out of buying the orangey red, I’d rather save my 25 bucks for other future purposes, thank you very much. I justified buying Bamboo White because it’s a unique color with an exclusive formula and an ultra-sleek bottle design.
This release was created to complement Victoria Beckham’s new spring/summer 2015 fashion collection, which incorporates Japanese elements. Hence, the names Bamboo White and Judo Red.
The box isn’t a typical box you just throw away. It’s a keepsake item you can keep to display your newly acquired fancy-shmancy nail polish. That’s not all that stands out, the bottle is definitely some eye candy as well. Inside this fancy box contains the most luxurious, well thought-out polish I have ever owned and lavished on my unworthy nails.
Bamboo White comes in a matte black bottle, while Judo Red comes in a matte white version. These bottles are made with Venetian glass and features clear panels on the sides that reveal the polish inside. These frosted bottles have some nice weight to them that really make it feel like you’re holding an expensive polish in your hands. Of course no one wants to paint their nails with a chunky cap in hand, the removable caps are something not to be overlooked.
Onto the good stuff. Bamboo White is a creamy off-white with a pink lean. This milky dusty pink is not at all streaky due to the incredible formula. There’s a touch of jelly to smooth out this creamy formula. This flexible self-leveling formulation is wondrous, thanks to the Stretch-to-Fit technology. If that’s not enough, the Nails Inc team really impressed with the added benefits of this polish. The bamboo extract in these polishes help build healthy nails and promotes growth by strengthening and conditioning. I feel like I really got my money’s worth.
It was super glossy and I only needed 2 coats. It surprised me how it was sheer but opaque—like an opaque jelly, a crelly, if you will. It is so beautiful and squishy looking! I am super glad I got my hands on this limited edition gem. The polish is supposed to last longer than regular polishes, due to its flexible polymers in the formulation. I’ll update with my wear time experience soon. UPDATE: Wear time on this polish was pretty good. With my dominant hand, I experienced 4 days with slight chipping. On my non-dominant hand, my mani was near perfect for almost 6 days. That’s pretty fantastic, if you ask me!
VVB Bamboo White- 2 coats, no top coat
If you would rather find a cheaper alternative I would recommend OPI’s Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around. It’s a similar color with a creme formula, rather than a crelly like Bamboo White. Valentine’s Day has just passed, if you feel like you need to treat yourself to something a little more, add this gorgeous collectable to your stash!
As I said before, I’m actually wearing this on my nails right now. I am absolutely in love with it. If you want a luxurious nail polish that you can put to use, this is surely the one. It’s limited edition, so be sure to hit up your Sephora as soon as possible!
