How was your Halloween weekend? I hope it was full of fun and treats! As I much on the Halloween candy I purchased on super-sale, I’m going to share with you my choice for today’s Mani Monday post. This is Green on the Runway and I know you’re green with envy already, aren’t you?
OPI’s Green on the Runway was released in the first installment of the OPI x Coca Cola Collection last year. I purchased some from the collection but I never wrote a review post on them, however, I do have a review of the newer polishes from the most recent OPI x Coca Cola Collection in celebration of Coca Cola’s 100th Anniversary here. Green on the Runway is a duochrome that shifts from green to a warm bronzey brown. In some cases, you can even see some gold. The shift isn’t as strong as these shifty beauties but when you’re in low lighting situations, it’s a pretty sight.
The inspiration for this polish can from Sprite, I’m guessing the can not the bottle. I love that they chose to go a different route with a metallic green and created a duochrome that shows the green but also some other fun colors that match the current season very well. This polish actually makes me think of caramel apples or apple pie haha, it’s probably due to the green and bronzey brown combination!
The formula was good, pretty great coverage on the first coat but you’ll need a second to smooth down some streaks and intensify the color. Green on the Runway is brushstrokey, as you can see. It’s not the worst but it is pretty noticeable.
Green on the Runway- 2 coats, no top coat
This was my favorite polish from the OPI x Coca Cola Collection. If you’re interested, this polish is still available for purchase on HB Beauty Bar or the official Coca Cola website for $9-9.50. You can also find it for cheaper on Amazon.
I’ve been really into greens lately and if you are too, this is a great one to add to your collection!
