This past weekend, I went to the nail polish store I like to go to from time to time, where they have tons of OPI polishes. I walked through the aisle and a pink shade caught my eye. Normal I skip right past the pink, but I’ve found that lately, I’ve been into them a little more. I owe that all to Flowerista from Essie’s Spring line (here). So I picked up the pink named Pedal Faster Suzi! and to my surprise, it’s a pink version of the It’s a Boy from the new Oh Baby Collection I just posted about here.
I purchased it and couldn’t wait to swatch and see if it was exactly the pink version of It’s a Boy. I’m happy to say it is. For this mani, I decided to combine these shades together with Pedal Faster Suzi as the base color. I didn’t build up It’s A Boy on the tips. I purposely left it sheer to give a softer look.
(L-R) It’s a Boy & Pedal Faster Suzi
Pedal Faster Suzi- 2 coats, no top coat
This mani is extremely simple to create. Just choose two colors. Apply one as the base color, the color that covers most of your nail and is on the bottom. Over that base color, apply the other shade in a diagonal. I like to do this in one swoop. If it’s a polish on the thinner side, like It’s a Boy, allow that first coat to dry. After that, just go over the diagonal once more to intensify the color. Add top coat to your easy nail look to finish things up. Done. Simple right?
If you want more details on information about the Oh Baby Collection, please click here. I fall behind with Mani Monday posts, I just post them randomly on Mondays. I knew I needed to put this one up, even if it’s a little late. I love the look of these two together, so delicate and just pretty! You can find Pedal Faster Suzi! at Ulta, Drugstore.com, and other places that sell OPI.
