The 4th of July is upon us! Today is the day we celebrate the birth of our great nation. Today’s going to be quite a busy day so I’m going to keep this extremely short. At first I was going to do an intricate red, white and blue design, but as usual, I got lazy. That’s the thing with me, I can only paint my nails if I really feel like it. If I’m just not in the mood, painting will take me hours instead of the usual 30 minutes or so. In turn, I decided to go the simple route with this mani. I had it on yesterday and I’ve gotta say, I have grown quite fond of it!
I didn’t take the pictures with my point and shoot this time, I had to use my phone for them. I was in a crunch and had to!
On my nails, I used Honor Roll, part of ILNP’s new collection. This deep blue scattered holo is stunningly gorgeous. I have never had a rich color with such an intense holographic effect.
If you haven’t tried anything from the indie brand, I would suggest starting of with this one or any of their amazing holos for that matter. I would have to say that Serum No. 5 and ILNP would be my two all-time favorites in the indie polish world.
Just having the blue polish was too plain jane for me and need some patriotic sparkle, so I added a single piece of metallic star glitter to each nail. I fished out a silver star from my bottle of Formula X Glory and placed it at the bed of each nail, except for my tiny, freshly broken index nail.
Well, I said I would keep this short so I will do that. Enjoy your barbecues and fireworks today! Here’s a pic at what I’m starting the day with: a delicious mango con chile popsicle!
