January Favorites for 2016

It’s Febuary! After having such a great time looking through all the polishes I’ve tried in 2015 and picking out my favorites, I’ve decided in taking part in monthly favorites. There are some that I’ve really loved and I feel they deserve a little more attention than just a review. Then there are some that don’t have or won’t have reviews and I would like to put the spotlight on those. I love the idea of being able to organize and highlight the polishes that I love each month, that way it’ll be nice and easy to look back and see what I’ve enjoyed in the past.

With a new year, here’s to the start of something new.

Since I’ve done a review on most of these, I’m try to keep it short. If you would like to get to know those polishes more, I’ll always have my review linked. I’ll also try to include a link to where each can be purchased for convenience. You’ll also notice many of these were posted on my Instagram. I can’t help posting the things I love!

These are in no particular order. Don’t make me choose just one!

I have two from the OPI x Hello Kitty collection I ended up really favoring this month. The first is My Pal Joey ($9.49), a great bright primary blue that’s not as boring as you’ll think. It pops off my skin tone and brightens up my day.

It’s rare that I’ll fall in love with a pink so believe me when I say I love one, I really love it. I grew quite fond of Small + Cute = ♥ ($9.49). What a pretty pretty pink.

From the new Zoya Whispers transitional collection, I think you can tell from the review which two I’ve been loving. Misty and Ireland ($10) make my hands look so delicate. They’re what I have been reaching for when I want something less in your face. Wait for a Zoya promotion and get a few from this collection if you like soft shades!

Formula X released a collection of holographic polishes named The Divine Stardust collection and I reviewed and loved Aphrodite ($12.50).

Another holo that’s very well-known and loved by many got on the list this month. OPI My Private Jet ($9.99) has been around for a while now but can you believe I’m a new owner? I  featured it on my most recent TBT post here in case you missed it.

For a majority of the month I was trying out some indie polishes. I can’t wait to feature some of these new ones I’ve hauled! These three are from brands I will becoming a regular customer of!

KB Shimmer Garnet ($8.75) was so beautiful I gave it a full Mani Monday post with TONS of pictures!

This one was late to the party but I couldn’t help staring at this when it was on my nails the other day. I was introduced to Super Chic Lacquer through one of Nicole from Young Wild and Polished on Youtube. I only purchased a few for myself but I’m already hooked. Notions of Ariel ($12) is amazing. In each bottle from this collection, it contains 1/2 a carat of genuine diamond crystals, that’s why the price is a little higher. Fancy.

This last one is one I haven’t shown yet, Glam Polish Eight Below ($11). I’m into purples. I’m into holographic polishes. This one also has metallic flakes running through it. What more can you ask for? I love this.

I hope you liked seeing what I chose as my top picks for January and expect another one for February! For next month, I’m aiming to wear some of my neglected shades. They’re in need of some love! I’m also excited to try out the indies I’ve been hauling. I may also have a high-end polish that I’m pretty sure will be making it one the list… (;

I’m thinking about even starting a new seasonal series. I can’t wait to pick out my spring picks!

    I think I need to buy more Hello Kitty polishes. Or more indies, or just more nail polish in general! 🙂 Thanks for the temptation!! Please do these posts again, they are fun!
