First Day of Spring!

Today is the First Day of Spring! Where I am, it actually snowed today. Doesn’t seem quite like spring yet… Nevertheless, I will be embracing the season on my digits. I used mostly polishes from the L’Oreal Haute Florals Collection (Spring 2015) to create this easy spring look.

I love nail art but I am not dedicated enough to spend hours upon hours to make intricate designs on my nails. Until the day when I am able to do so, I will stick to the easy stuff that I do best, like adding cute little flowers to my nails! Tape designs are something I enjoy doing too, here’s my nail look for St. Patrick’s Day if you haven’t seen it.

Warmer weather is on it’s way. Spring is here!

For this mani, I used polishes from L’Oreal Haute Florals Collection and Essie’s Suite Resort (post here). From the Haute Florals Collection, I used Wispy CloudsSpring Showers and Hint of Lavender.

All together, I used 4 polishes. You can do this look with as little as 2 polishes, or as many as you’d like. I chose to use Wispy Clouds as my base color and used the other colors for flowers.

To create the flowers, I used a dotting tool to gently dot on the polish in clusters of 5, leaving the center of the cluster bare. I did this with each color separately. To finish off the flowers, I dabbed a dot of Wispy Clouds in the center of the cluster to create the center bulb of the flower.

If you don’t have a dotting tool, you can always substitute it with a hair pin or a simple toothpick.

That’s it. Simple as that, easy as pie. In no way did I create this look myself, it’s been done thousands of times before. What easier way to create spring nails than to dot some flowers on?
