Essie Gel Couture | Jade to Measure

It’s the Eagles Parade Day! Whoooo! To show my support to my city, I’ve got on green for the Philadelphia Eagles, Super Bowl CHAMPIONS!

I saw this in the store and my eyes were immediately drawn to it and I knew I had to get it. It was a sign. I hadn’t chosen my polish for the parade and here’s this amazing green calling my name. Ah, polish gods, thank you!

This polish was released with the Essie Gel Couture Holiday 2017 collection and I’m not sure if this is a polish that’s going to stick around or if it’s limited edition, which is why I wanted to spread the word!

It’s not quite an Eagle’s green but this is one eye-catching green and I LOVE IT!

This is such a gorgeous shade of green that I don’t own in my collection. Green metallics traditionally have fussy formulas so I don’t have many. The ones I have are a deeper green but nothing as bright as Jade to Measure.

Jade to Measure is a bright emerald metallic with an absolutely stunning formula. The Gel Couture brushes adds even more ease. Just one to two swipes with the brush and your nails are covered. I used 2 coats to reach opacity and it looks flawless! Of course to finish the look, I added top coat for even more of a shine and to protect the polish even more.

I know what you’re thinking, metallic = annoying brush strokes. Sure, but the shine on this polish is so strong that you don’t even notice those brush strokes and unlike some polishes, those brush strokes aren’t 3 shades darker than the polish itself.

You already know what I’m going to be wearing for St. Patrick’s Day! Hah, any time I’m going to be looking for a bright metallic green, Jade to Measure is now the polish for me.

As I mentioned above, I’m not sure if this is limited edition or if it’s going to be added to their full Gel Couture line, but from the looks of a simple Google search, Essie doesn’t seem to have this listed on their site. So I’d say it might be only available for a limited time! You can find it here on Ulta’s site, or test your luck and see if you can still find it in stores like Target and CVS!
