Different Dimension Serendipity Collection for Valentine’s Day 2016

Every time I scroll through Instagram, I wind up with a list full of polishes I want to get me hands on! So, I was browsing through Instagram and I scrolled onto a picture with some new polishes from Different Dimension and I went all googly-eyed for one polish in particular. I searched up as many photos of I could on the polish to see if I really needed it. The more I looked at it, the more I liked what I saw. Might I remind you, I can’t resist the power of nail polish, as you can see from my recent splurge. It’s the softest pinky beige with holo! How could I resist?

Once Different Dimension released their new Serendipity Collection, I made a beeline for the polish I wanted. As I was shopping around I also got myself something extra. It was $5! I just had to!

I know that price caught your eye! I’ll start with that one first. They Should Make Pills for This is a glitter with a white crelly base, micro hot pink glitter, fine silver and silver holographic glitter, as well as a pinky purple flash. There’s a great deal of things going on here and they really work well together. The white crelly base tones down the hot pink but this polish still gives of bold vibes.

This is packed to the brim with glitter, so it’s no surprise that although the base is a crelly, it was opaque in 2 coats. It’s like a unicorn frosting. White crellies always resemble frosting and this one has so much glitter, what other majestic creature would pop up in my head?

If you choose to, you could layer this over a pale pink. I wouldn’t recommend that though because the true beauty of a crelly glitter really only comes out when they’re layered. You don’t get the full dimension created from the layering process otherwise.

What’s my opinion on this? I liked this and am happy it was only $5 but if it was any more than that, I would have skipped it.

Now for the one I had my eyes set on. Have Faith in Destiny is a holographic pinky beige. That description doesn’t satisfy me. It doesn’t describe this beauty the way I think it should! It’s a blush champagne leaning on the verge of mauve, sprinkled in this wonderful lacquer is a fine holographic shimmer. Yea, that’s it. That’s what it is.

I love this. I think it’s the pairing of a gentle shade with holo that grabs me. The formula is just fantastic, 2 coats. I love everything about this. I wouldn’t change it for the world!

Have Faith in Destiny- 2 coats, no top coat

Wait for it…

Beautiful. I love the out of focus picture, doesn’t it look heavenly?! I don’t even have a top coat on these, imagine a glossy overlay. Divine.

How much is it? It’s from an indie brand, so you already know it’s a little higher in price than something from the drugstore. Have Faith in Destiny is $12. I’m okay with this because I got these two for $17, divide that up and it’s like paying $8.50 for each, which is still cheaper than an OPI. Okay, so that’s still pretty high but you know that this purchase is going to support the indie maker so that they can create bigger and better things for their brand! It’s a whole different experience when you buy from an indie maker. It’s more personal and meaningful. That’s why I’ll keep supporting! Only when I can afford to… It also helps that they’re always creating polishes that are totally original and STUNNING!

I am completely and utterly in LOVE with this pair, wouldn’t they look great together as a mani? If you like these too, head on over to the Different Dimension site! The Serendipity is a Valentine’s collection so they won’t be here for long! They also have the Babes in Toyland collection on their site and you know I did a review/Mani Monday on Boy Blue. Please take a look at their other shades, I posted two pics Jill on my Instagram (1, 2) and that purple holo with silver flakes was a hit! I have a couple more Valentine’s Day collections coming your way but to break them up, I’ll include a brand new spring collection from a mainstream brand you won’t want to miss! Check back soon!

Have Faith in Destiny is so pretty!! It made me think of Sinful Colors Prosseco or the new Deborah Lippman Dirty Little Secret. I think it’s time for me to have a shimmery nude in my collection, thanks for sharing these!!

I didn’t even think of SC Prosecco! It is in the same color family. I love that polish!
Just looked up Deborah Lippmann Dirty Litter Secret and you’re right! It’s very similar! I think it’s a little on the warmer side though and the formula looks to be one that’s a base first and then shimmer added. As in it has a more creme-jelly formula, probably very much like the formula of Sinful Colors Prosecco. I don’t know how to explain it but Have Faith in Destiny has a formula you will typically from from a holographic polish, I guess similar to how a metallic applies? I hope I’m making sense!
YES! Get a shimmery nude! I think Have Faith in Destiny would be a great choice since in some lighting, the holo won’t catch and it’ll look more subdued. It also won’t look like a straight up rainbow disco ball to others since the holo effect is softer. Then when you’re outside in the daytime and you look at your nails, all the colors will reflect off and it might even be the start of a new addiction! Okay. Getting a little dramatic… but seriously! Try one out!
